"Holiday Inn" (Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire). It is relatively unknown but it was the precursor film to Crosby's "White Christmas"
"It's a Wonderful Life" takes a close second. |

Yes - and isn't where they actually did the song White Christmas and then because it was so popular they made the movie White Christmas! |

The Ref. Denis Leary plays a cat burglar who is on the run and holds a dysfunctional family (Kevin Spacey, Judy Davis et al. You may recognize the grandmother. The actress, Glynis Johns, played the Mom in Mary Poppins, and also appeared in the famous and wonderful 1951 A Christmas Carol) on Christmas Eve, with hilarious results. Our annual Christmas movie! |

A Christmas Story with Peter Billingsley--"You'll shoot yer eye out!" Greatest Christmas movie ever, and a family watching tradition for years. |

I still think that the 1951 movie "A Christmas Carol" with Alastair Sim is the best of all the Christmas movies. |

A Christmas Carol with Alister Simms - 1951. My second would have to be "It's A Wonderful Life" with James Stewart and Donna Reed.

I like many on the list, especially the black and white version of Miracle on 34th Street. However, my favorite Christmas movie, hands down, is Scrooged with Bill Murray. |
