I have gone crazy on EBay lately. I have purchased many stamp lots. One was a lot of World Fair Stamps 1939. They were stuck together from being in an envelope for many years. I saw this as a challenge. I received them yesterday in the mail and to my dismay found out that they are not postage stamps. They seem to be memorabilia stamps. There were over 20 of them. I still soaked them and painstakingly separated them. I have been researching for a day now and found nothing. Value, origination, number in a series.....nothing. Does anybody have any info on these stamps?

I will post the pictures shortly.

Thanks

I wouldn't despair just yet. They certainly look as if they would be collectible to someone.

I searched eBay and found this right near the top with minutes to go. There could be more.

The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

I don't know anything about them, but I did a google and found the following couple of non-ebay links:

and this one has a lot of info. You have to scroll to the bottom of the page:

Hi Cynthia

I've been going a little ebay crazy myself and have received a few surprise along the way. Even though they are not real stamps I would think they would have some historical value.

I'll help you research them and see if I can find anything out

Dianne
