As some of you may know, I'm a newbie stamp collector who came across a large amount of stamps. While digging I came across a faded, used stamp. (Shown stamp is taken off a site while I find time to go find and buy a scanner)

NOTE: Mine is slightly more faded (but also clearer,) stamped with 'FRANCIS DRAKE MAY 23 1866 TROY. N.Y.)
The RN-I imprints were the first that Carpenter produced. They were the designs of the adhesive bank check and USIR stamps printed by the firm.
I1 is the bank check stamp design. It was offered for
approximately eight months, but instruments bearing it are not at all common.
