Extremely new to the stamp collecting community! Very excited to learn that I may have many stamps issued before 1900. I'm learning as I go. I have recently learned that I may have several stamps that are considered rare. I obtained my brand new hobby while cleaning out a womans attic for her. There were about 200 envelopes dated from 1887 to the 1950's. Most of these envelopes were mailed between 1887 and 1930. My biggest trouble is watermarks because the stamps are still on the envelopes. I've been warned many times now, that they may be more valueable still on the envelopes. The next biggest trouble is being able to tell if I have a bunch of the scott# 595! These stamps sure look like it. From what I'm learning its even hard for some experts to tell if the stamps I have are the $.15 or if the are worth much more. Anyhow, I will start posting pics of these stamps and invite any info you may offer.
