About Me

A journalist, poet, literary critic and comic-strip writer, Phill Provance has written and edited for a long list of national publications, including The Baltimore Sun, InQuest Gamer, and ABILITY Magazine. Admittedly, he is a bit of a nerd; he collects 19th century Great Britain postage stamps and likes to translate obscure Old French Langue d'Oil poetry into contemporary English. But his creative work has been well-received, with his first poetry collection, "The Day the Sun Rolled Out of the Sky" (Cy Gist Press 2010), selling out of both first and second editions and the poems in it subsequently receiving three Pushcart Prize nominations, plus Best of the Web and Best of the Net nominations. Aside from helping his fiancée maintain their business and working as a journalist and editor, Phill is also working on a second poetry collection, as well as a novel, and enjoying the company of his first son, Ledger.
