Clowns are not funny. They are creepy. (In my opinion of course. Some may love them.)

Perhaps a subtopic here could be stamps which are funny but were not intended to be. The cancel on the Harriet Quimby airmail is very funny.

I like the Australia "point up" stamp. Reminds me of a practical joke my brother used to try years ago: Stand outside, look up (at nothing), and see how many people you can get to look up as well!

Nice digging (once again!) there Puzzler on the info about Wum.

I thought he resembled his owner somewhat, I guess there will be much variation here in what one would describe as funny

Speaking of 'funny' stamps; I am not sure where this is going ...but we probably don't want to know. Fortunately I don't speak french! I do understand the word for doctor and wonder why it's in inverted commas...a witch doctor, perhaps?

Here is a funny (or at least light-hearted) stamp from Germany designed by the singer Udo Lindenberg. The story behind the stamp is interesting also.

...if it means what it appears to mean, definitely not funny. But a very peculiar thing to put on a stamp!

It does belong with clown stamps, tough, as clowns are weird, sick and right down scary, horrible things!
