I recently began collecting & so far find myself wanting to collect stamps with trees on them, monochrome landscape scenes, elephants & cats. Floral stamps from all over the world. Butterflies & ladybugs have caught my eyes thus far. But I do believe so far, I haven't seen a stamp I haven't loved for one reason or another. I even collect the paper from under my soaked stamps, not sure why, but I do :P

Another interesting topic (I think) might be cathedrals. I went to France and visited Notre Dame and Chartres when I was in high school, and it looks like there are a lot of stamps around the world featuring different cathedrals and stained glass.

I'm currently collecting cheetahs, parrots, specific breeds of dogs and dinosaurs. Most of what I collect are pretty narrow.

I collect, "Any philatelic material that depicts a motorcycle, or part thereof, or name of manufacturer, recognisable as being of ITALIAN ORIGIN."

In this area I collect: Stamps, mint and used, FDC, Postally used covers, Maximum Cards, Miniature-Souvenir Sheets, Booklets, Postal Stationery, Cancellations, Meter-marks, Proofs, Errors or any other philatelic items.

Years ago I remember someone who collected "lightning strikes on stamps"... at the time I think he said their were three world wide! :)

I love hearing about people with obscure topical collection themes.

Regards
Gavin
