Summer officially begins on Saturday. With warmer weather and so much more to do, will you be spending any time working with your collection during the coming months?
Any plans for your collecting? Any rearrangement of your collection? Any stamp shows you will be attending? Any way you will be combining stamps with something else? Will you be soaking a kilo of stamps while in the pool? Cataloging stamps by the campfire? Looking for stamps at garage sales? Raising money for your stamps with a yard sale? Visiting with collectors in other parts of the country? Just putting everything away until fall?

I'm always looking for ways to raise money for more stamps--BUT right now I'm running my Mary Englebreit Doll eBay Auction again for my friend, Carol, who has colon cancer--the folks who bought the doll and items previously, have donated it to be sold to raise more money. Just a few more hours on it to go! There will always be time for my stamps this summer--I don't tolerate the heat well , so inside is better--plus the mosquitoes are bad around here with all the flooding that has occurred. I definitely have opened my eyes to looking for stamps at yard sales after I have read about the great finds you all have made ! And thanks to you all, I have plans to separate some of my stamps into separate albums--like Red Cross and Christmas are now big enuff they deserve a start in their own albums! Plus, always on the lookout for those Precancels! Thanks! Gussyboy1 |

Well Because I work at a garden center and am there 80 plus hours a week until the end of June and then about 60 hrs per week until late fall I have less time to spend on collecting.
I still try to set a little time each week to spend with stamps.
I work weekends so garage sales are out. I think there is only one stamp show around here and I missed it.
I'm an avid gardener and have keep some time to maintain my too many gardens.
One thing is certain I will never put my collection Away again. It has it's own room now and I try to keep it company as much as I can.

Phil, I have gone to stampwants.com several times, but I am confused on how you pay if you buy numerous items from different sellers. Can you just make one total payment and stampwants doles it out or do you have to pay each seller individually?? It looked as if I would have to pay each seller individually, unless I misunderstood.
Thanks! Gussyboy1 |

Gussy I am afraid you have to pay each seller individually..thats why its best to zero in on one seller at a time buy several things from him if possible and combine postage..cheers ! phil |

Bob G G G G I think another reason for lack of chat on Stampoffers is that awful "ask seller a question" method of posting ...i wish James had never left the old "yellow chat board" method..things are changing fast and if stampoffers does not change its going to be left behind..theres many chatboards and auctions for collectors out there nowadays |

Gussy, Phil is right. But I haven't found that to be a problem. I've picked out three or four sellers that carry a lot of German and Central America and they have more than I can afford anyway. |
