Mark Twain Fd Ceremony Hannibal MO 6/25/11

It was a bit overcast, rainy, and cool today in Hannibal MO. I was joined by my family: wife, son, daughter, sister in law, and nephew. The ceremony was good, informative, and had a great Mark Twain impersonator whom spoke. The USPS clerks did a great job servicing covers and selling stamps, covers, & merchandise. The ceremony speakers setup a table and signed the FDOICP pleasantly. The crowd was not huge, but most of the chairs were filled under the tent that sat between the fence Tom Sawyer/Samuel Clemonts talked others into painting for him outside of his house and Becky Thatcher's house. I'll post some pictures and scans when I get home. Enjoying the rest of the weekend with family in Quincy.

Sounds like the ceremony was very nice. I'm glad ya'll were able to attend.

The ceremony in Wisconsin went well. I have an autographed program and some covers for you. They are still in the bottom of one of my stamp bags, though. Hopefully, tomorrow, I will start getting them unpacked and then they will be on their way to you!
