Has anyone seen these ads on TV yet?

Sounds like a last ditch attempt to reach those using e-mail to try the US Postal Service.

With all of their financial problems, couldn't the USPS have done just as well by not producing these ads in the first place?

Seems like a waste of money to me.

It may be a waste of money now or a little too late, but if they had put these out regularly in the first place they wouldn't be in the position they are in today.

I think this is a good strategy if they are willing to stay the course and let the theme develop. If it's a one time ad it's a waste of money. The Post Office needs to determine its floor volume - where will the mail volume bottom out and build their budgets from that. I personally have no problem with dropping Saturday mail delivery. And maybe they should encourage picking up mail at the post office by making box rental more affordable.

Security???

Last week my mail box included investment information addressed to someone a few blocks away and medical information for a friend a few doors down.

This is not unusual and the local Postmaster has been notified each time.

Especially troublesome is receiving someone's prescription drugs.

I wonder who receives my mail??

If congress had not have passed the ridiculous "retirement fund" clause, the PO would be making 2 billion clean each year.
If you would do your homework and find out why they are failing, it would save us all a lot of time.
Postal mail has one thing going for it....."privacy". The Inet and email is available to anyone in the chain that wants to read it.
