It was a mystery as you could imagine and looked like we would have to start from scratch again was the ebay help we got.

But no it was very simple and we lost nothing in the store change over from USA to AUS.

1st we posted a listing in .com.au

Then closed the .com store that said we could reopen the store at any time in the next month.

Before doing this we could not change the store no matter what we did.

Next we used the new .com.au listing to start the process to open an au store.

It was so simple. Now all our listings are still in USA currency but are now in our au store and the 1st au listing is in au $ only. We have all our old settings, including ratings. And to top it off we received our Top-Rated Sellers status on change over.

We are still pinching ourselves over how easy and user friendly it all ended up happened.

Very Much Always Happy Stamping. John and Family

.com really started to make things harder and harder for us to trade.

They are now holding back well over $3000 and extending the time for pay pal to release our funds.

They effectively shut us down treating us as doing to wrong thing and were making it harder taking privileges from us.

They put us in a position where we could not continue to trade with .com it is as simple as that and it all started so differently.

Good luck with the new home.

Do you know where your listings will show up on dot com? In the regular listings or as an international seller?

I will work on it KirkS

Cjd we are still world wide with our .com.au store and our .com store will be able to be found for the next month. How much of a change it makes, to say searches from .com users, time will tell. But we would be lucky to sell 1 in 50 lots to the USA and about the same in Canada. One sale outside Australia per 20 lots is about right. The rest of the sales come from Australia. Sad but true! Using USA Dollars in our listings did not work at all really.

When I use my tool bar for the au store it works not a problem.
But when I press on the posted link from it, it reverts back to the USA store and the au part disappears.

I do not understand what is going on. KirkS

I recently bought some stamps from KGV's store, very nice packets of mixed Aussie Colonial States, not to mention the extra pages of stamps he generously included.

A link to your new store would be great. Rest assured I'll find it one way or another. Good luck with the transition.

Bill

Thanks western I truly did not know you were a SCF member. So what you received is a normal lot of stamps with the bonus stamps. Thank you for the kind words. After today it is a breath of fresh air I really needed.

As embarrassing as it is I do not want anybody to be lead astray by what I have written above about ebay .com . When we closed our .com store we got to speak to an ebay person and it was great to get our questions answered and it gave us what has turned out to be the wrong info on the cost of listing on .com.au, very wrong. It is basically impossible to sell stamps on .com.au with a gallery picture as no matter what store you have the gallery costs 59c and that is that. So a .com store listing cost 10c if it is under $1 with a gallery picture as well + the option to have 12 images displayed. We are how back with our store on .com and are now prepared to wait it out on .com till everything sorts its self out. Even if the truth hurts a bit it needs to be said so the truth rules and not wrong info.

Always Happy Stamping. John.

This forum's software program changes any ebay link to a dot com link. In order for it to appear as www.eBay.com.au you have to separate out the non-dot come part and tell folks to just erase the space when they use it, or something similar.

Links to your user name My World page (see link on left of that page to go to items for sale) or your ebay store, which just gives you all the same stuff but arranged in a store layout.

kg5collector user name:
http://myworld.ebay.com/kg5collector/

kg5collector's Store name eyes4stamps :
http://stores.ebay.com/eyes4stamps/

Hope everything has worked out and settled down by now.
