Be sure to look them over well there are some MNB fakes out there. If ink is used make sure it is the proper color IE: orange-ish or a golden brown-ish color. Most of the "
eBay" fakes I have seen in hand were totally noticeable (signed in ball point pen) or photocopied handwriting on classic "real" check stock. The printed/photocopied handwriting is easy to notice by glancing at it from an angle (the toner is shiny reflects light). I have a few in the design of the ones pictured above the third one comes in a royal blue and orange color. The others come in a few varieties as well but I do not remember them right off hand. MNB also has a nice one with a horse and buggy and one with a steamship as well that also look very nice.
I collected them for the vignettes I find that in our race to become "more modern" we have lost the history of our arts. Checks now are either goofy looking with puppies or cartoons or boring and dull with no artistic design. Same goes for our modern US stamps and currency everything just all looks so "computerized" now *sigh*.....
