Vance Auctions - One pound of recent semi-postals on closely trimmed single paper. All stamps catalogue $1 or more ....Est 175.00

I just got rid of the last 1 pound lot of German commeratives on close cropped paper I bought. It took nearly six years. Now I've won a lot of 1 pound of "recent" semi's I have to deal with.

I'm sure this will break your collective hearts, but stand by for more give-away's! Is there anyone willing to help me out?

Probably no need to ask, but are these German semi-postals?
I'd be interested but I'm already going to owe you some covers.

Hey, got a new definition for the month!

Semi-postal: a stamp that will get your mail part way there.

Yes all, there are German semi's. When I get them "de-papered" I'll let you know.

BTW, If we can send a man to the moon, why can't we invent a machine to soak, separate, dry, press and package stamps on paper?

Hmmmmmmm . . . . . . .

Having a machine would take all the FUN out of it.

I guess I'm a little jaded, Richard. After soaking 10,000 or more stamps I don't think it's much fun anymore.

You mean I'm not supposed to take them in the hot tub with me?

On Friday nights it's usual me, a bottle of wine, ten or twelve candles providing romantic lighting, soft music in the background, and 1000 or so stamps on paper in the tub.

Now what do I do for entertainment?

A good description, but not a pretty picture!
