I was wanting to order some glassine envelopes to protect my FDCs. Most of the FDCs I have at the 6 and 3/4" envelope, the standard size. What size glassine is needed? Also is this standard size called size 6? I see the longer envelopes listed in Scott Catalogs as size 10? What size glassines are needed for a size 10 FDC?
I don't advise using glassines. There are now safe plastic sleeves you can use, with less hassle. Glassines can in the long term (15+ years) stain covers, and are not completely transparent.
