This might not sell. There many precancel types from Philadelphia similar to this one. It is most likely the PSS L-50 HS cv 0.25. Most collectors do not save invert or multiple impressions on handstamp (HS) precancels. They prefer a nicely struck normally aligned impression. Precancel collecting can be complicated and complex, but mostly inexpensive, and always fun.

Ahhh... I see... I'm not a pre-cancel
collector... but, on occasion I'll buy
one if I just happen to like it...

I just bought this #311 $1 Farragut,
for example... I don't know what it's
worth in the precancel world, I bought
it as what will likely become a space
filler for the duration, given well
centered mint 311's cost an arm and
two legs... (smiling)

The 1$ Farragut is known on Cleveland OH, Philadelphia PA, and Roanoke VA. The 2$ is only known on San Francisco CA. The 5$ unreported. So - you will not find a 5$ precancel to fill that space!

my 311 will be sitting in place
(and amidst) my mint unused...

I'd doubt the $2 and $5 will ever
get filled with other than, perhaps
used copies, but it'll be nice to
see the page completed when I find
copies I like...
