There have been previous discussions about the overrun printing errors, but I think I finally found a real one. I bought a small group of overruns at my local stamp club a few weeks ago and finally got around to looking at them in more detail. One stamp of my block is shown below, below a "normal" version.

So questions to the group. Does it seem real? If so, which one - Scott 915a which is Reverse printing of both rose and blue over black? or 915b, which is the Reverse printing of rose over black, but black is still over blue?

looks to be 915b....
closer examination under a microscope would be needed.

I have a block of four, so I took some pictures of different stamps under a microscope to see if it shows any better. I also adjusted some of the hues/contrast to better make it show. I think that I have the 915a with both rose and blue over the black.

The first picture is a closeup of the flag itself:

The second two are closeups of the bottom of the flag pole, trying to show that the blue is over the black:

And the last is a closeup of the top right of the flag, trying to show a slight bit of black from behind the red:

Looks like a 915a to me. What do you think?

Thanks for the opinions. I don't see much selling activity but I do see some outrageous prices. I'll just put them away and search for their companions.
