Here is my most recent eBay win. I know these can and are faked, but I couldn't resist going for it. Could it be 65L??? The bottom of the stamp shows traits of B Relief. There are signs of possible re-engraving over the upper X's and the Top line. The top line re-engraving does not seem to be identical to the line shown in Neinken's book, but compared to certified #16 65L from PF database (latter 2 stamps), it matches pretty well--including the bruise over the right X.

Sinclair, you are right as usual! It does match 86L better.

For the quality, I have not dipped it yet, but to the naked eye it looks sound. When I get a chance, I will post the back too.

It was a steal. I only paid around $200 for it!

The green 10c 1851-59 issue is my favorite. To find such a well centered #16 with a red cancel and at that price-- needless to say I'm ecstatic!
