That's a by product of all of the free listings. Back in the day where the starting price determined the listing fee, it would have cost the seller $50 just to list it. They would have learned in a hurry.
I'm offended that they waste my time with crap like this. There is a group of stamps that fit into one of my search criteria. I know this group has been listed on eBay
for 2 and 1/2 years. He started it out at $24.95, dropped it to $19.95 and has finally settled at $29.95. It's probably worth $2. Yet a couple times every week I have to float past that lot.
There's even one seller from down under that has figured out if he used 1 day listings with automatic re lists his items will always be at the top of searches.
Get rid of free listings and lower final value fees. Make this an auction site again. If I wanted to see the same stuff over and over I'd go to Delcampe, Hipstamps, Stamps To Go, or the APS store.
