Flyspecking Fun

I didn't know that stamps had such fine detail on them. Look how tiny the dots are between the vertical lines inside the ovals on these two stamps! You really need to blow up this series of Norwegian definitives (1282A-1291) to determine whether the dots are oriented horizontally or diagonally. I have great eyesight, but I could not see this or even a hint of this with my eyes only. So tiny...

Anyone else have examples side-by-side like these to share?

On stamp 1 the dots are at est 30% angle, while stamp 2 dotes are horizontal.

Location is between lines around the post horn.

Thanks warrehouse, but perhaps I wasn't clear... I was commenting how I couldn't see these dots, let alone their orientation without a high resolution scan.

I would still enjoy seeing other similar examples!

So I was hoping to clarify for others.
I do not have examples to show.

The question is why do that? Does the difference serve a purpose?

so keep one as a template and use others to compare
