Brain Freeze Quiz #2

I will sort out a selection of Aussie stamps for the first person to answer this one correctly. If no one gets the right answer you can all send me stamps LOL.

A man is travelling down a road and comes to a fork in the road. One way goes to town A and the other way goes to Town B, but the sign post is missing. He is heading to town A, but does not know which way to go. There are two men standing at the fork. One of the men always tells the truth and the other man always lies (but he doesn't know which is which). Our traveller can only ask one question. What question can he ask that will help him get to town A?

There is no time limit on this contest.

Erm, I'm not sure if there is a catch, but do we get more than one guess? If so, the traveller should ask:

the man who tells the truth: where is A?

the man who tells lies: where is A, and then go the opposite way..

The only problem is, he doesn't know which one tells the truth and which one lies.

Let's give time for others to have a guess, then I might consider giving you another guess.

The traveler can ask either man this question:

"If I ask that other man which road leads to Town B, which road will he point to?"

When asked this question, both men will point to the road which leads toward Town A.

The truthful man will point toward Town A because it is true that if I asked the other man the which road leads to Town B the other man would lie and point toward Town A.

The liar will point toward Town A because if I asked the the other man which road leads to Town B the other man would be truthful and point toward Town B.

By asking one person, which way the other one would send you, the truth and lies are cancelled out.

Now I know where they filmed the A-team and all those B-movies. (groan)

I tried to keep in simple, because I know you yanks can't spell. LOL

Truely though we do have some funny names over here. I have a mining investment in a town called Widgemooltha. Another town not to far away is called Koolyanobbin and one just down the road from here is Gidgegannup.
