Who Likes Disney?

Disney character stamps are a popular topical among collectors. People who wouldn't otherwise collect stamps will collect Disney stamps because they like the Disney cartoon characters.

That's kind-of what collecting topicals is all about.

but came across this cover from Togo that features Pluto and gave me the idea for the topic.

I bought a sheet of the 41 cent Disney characters a few weeks ago. I use them on letters to my grandkids and when I send stuff to other collectors, but don't collect them myself.

I have a co-worker who has been to Disney World nearly 20 times. She's gone at least twice a year since I've known her.

Yes, Disney, Disney, Disney! My daughter's cake topper for her wedding was "Cinderella and the Prince" dancing--it was gorgeous!
She also loves "Lady and the Tramp" especially the one where they are sharing the spagetti noodle! ha
When I was a kid, my dad's evening job was a movie theatre manager at Rolla, MO. I saw "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" eleven times on a single weekend just because I wanted to go to work with my dad. That was before they had "Take your kid to work day" !

To this day I can't stand to hear the song the dwarfs sing- "Hi, Ho. Hi, Ho. It's Off to Work..."

BTW, my favorite is "Dumbo" and "Bambi" but don't have any of their stamps.

That might be but they don't seem to get much traction here on the forum. I did a search on "Disney" in the Topical section and the threads appearing in the results had very few images associated with them.

I was going to post these in the "Cover Calendar" thread but thought that posting them here might stimulate some interest among the Forum's Disney collectors. They are FDCs of the 2004 "The Art of Disney: Friendship" issue (Scott 3865-8).
