Thought this one (from India) might be amusing:

Special Postage Stamp
By Jaagriti Verma
Tuesday 14th, December 2010

A politician wanted a special postage stamp issued with his picture on it. So, he instructed his people, stressing that it should be of international quality.

The stamps were duly released and he was pleased. But within a few days of release of the stamp, he began hearing complaints that the stamp was not sticking properly, and he became furious.

He called the people responsible and ordered them to investigate the matter. They checked the matter out at several post offices, and then reported the problem to the politician.

The report said, "There is nothing wrong with the quality of the stamp. The problem is people are spitting on the wrong side."

The dog bringing the album to the man is no joke. My dogs live for the mayhem they can create using MY stamps.

Nobody has added to this for a while so here is another-

Those stamps marked with letters of the alphabet -- used when
the price of mailing a letter changes -- have come to an end.
The spokesman didn't say it, but ending the alphabet series
at this point also avoids the next logical step in the series,
the 'I-rate' stamp.

A blonde goes to the post office to buy stamps for her Christmas cards.

She says to the clerk, "May I have 50 Christmas stamps?"

The clerk says, "What denomination?"

The blonde says, "God help us. Has it come to this?
Give me 6 Catholic, 12 Presbyterian, 10 Lutheran and 22 Baptists."

My apologies to all the blondes here.

Yes it is.
The Grossman book is very good for US newbies.

A special one for those stamp collectors who love their animals:

This made me laugh, I have come home many a time to find stock cards, envelopes and stock books in bits on the floor.

Luckily nothing of real value has been devoured yet... I think she does it because I spend so much time on them when I should be spending time with her.

How can I be angry with that face.
