For those of us (that's me) who have no idea what this is all about here is a bit taken from Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KrishnadevarayaSri Krishna Deva Raya (Tulu: ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣದೇವರಾಯ, Kannada: ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣದೇವರಾಯ, Telugu:శ్రీ కృష్ణ దేవరాయులు) also known as Krishna Rai in some inscriptions was the famed Emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire who reigned from 1509 - 1529 CE. Presiding over the empire at its zenith, he is regarded as an icon by many Indians.

I like the Kannada word. That is a language I see. Is that also a people or a region in India? Is it pronounced the same as Canada? When I say I am from Canada (Kanada in German) what do Indians think about that? I wondered why the people on the call center phones seemed so happy to talk to me. ha

By the way, the dude looks like he would have been a big stamp collector in his time if stamps had been around. Very educated and literate and knowledgeable.
So what's the dragon carving in the rock wall? Nice elephant. That little square-shaped stone statue on the right is from the bigger place that has the Singing Pilllars isn't it? (if I have that right, no Indian scholar me)
