Kingfish23, I joined this forum about 2 months ago and visit it everyday. I learn something new with every visit from very knowledgeable collectors. Everyone here is helpful and courteous. While I sometimes check in on other boards, I find that SCF the best place to interact with fellow collectors.

There is definitely a helpfulness and camaraderie spirit on this forum. I rarely have a need or want to go elsewhere.

I agree completely.

I may not post much, but check here everyday.
I've learned a lot, and get a laugh out of many of the posts.
Education and humor in the same place is great.

I must also commend each of the members here.
There a several topics that could easily degenerate into bickering and name calling. While I see that happen on other boards, everyone here composes themselves wonderfully, and makes meaningful contributions to potentially dangerous topics with care and dignity.

barstoll,
We have to discuss our stamps with care and dignity. We have found that bickering leads to knock down, drag out fights. That in turn leads to tables being over turned, stamp albums spilled onto the floor, air mail stamps rediscovering flight, collections of stamps with grapes on them, trampled from the vine much too early. I won't even tell you the world wide catastraphe that this causes in the animal kingdom. Have you ever tried to intice a monkey stamp out of a tree stamp with a banana stamp? One has to don the boxing glove stamps when you are trying to capture a kangaroo stamp back into a cage...right tough little mates if you ask me.

You get the idea. Really the worse that we have had here is maybe a traffic jam of car stamps waiting for the train stamps to go by at a railroad road crossing stamp. We are a friendly bunch of stamp collectors just gathered around the big table at SCF.

Donna,
That was a very interesting read. I can just picture stamp moving about on their own interacting like the images they depict. Reminds me of Harry Potter and the moving photographs.

Wow, I'm respected in the stamp community. Thanks! :)

I like to put my money where my mouth is, so I contributed financially to support the site.

But, being active on several other forums (not stamps) I've learned that it's even more important to support the community by actively participating with what's going on, either by adding content, bringing up new or old ideas, and generally helping to build the community spirit.
