Well does anyone have some history on why British Post boxes are still there? Was kind of wondering myself.

I am there as well, it is great stuff. John

Thanks again all for the comments. Just imagine what a joy it would be if we could all get together for a similar journey somewhere?

PURCHASES!

I will post some items in the relevant threads, but here are a few for starters.
I did manage to pick up ,at face value, some Flag and Coin sheets from the UN. Also a number of other Flags from worldwide.

Here are a few more unusual Flag items:

One for the Aussies!

This one I likes a lot...

Two lovely British Exhibition labels which took me by surprise.
Waterlow & Sons Publicity labels overprinted for the 1932 Pageant of Postage Stamps in Dorland Hall,London.

Nice Perfs on this one [I should post it in the perfs thread] but I'm not sure what it might be

Toy stamps from Germany

Are you patriotic?

More later. Some elsewhere including the KKL labels !

Thanks Lux and Jubilee!

Sorry Mr Jubilee, but those labels are hard to find. I was a bit in shock when I saw them on the table of a Russian dealer. He had two books of nice Cinderellas and these were on the same page.

Also this one:

...and lets not forget the two GSM which are still waiting to be read properly.

They also contain two freebies which I will be giving away here next week. One is a very nice Leaflet about old GB issues and includes a superb colour guide to the KGV 1912-24 Royal Cypher ½d issue.

Watch out for it !

Londonbus1: don't know how I missed this thread but glad I caught it. Touched on at least three of my interests: stamps, architecture and trains.
