Dan Those two Borderguard stamps were the ones I referred to that the West German postal service objected to and refused to fdc's and letters franked with them. I've got cover sent from the ddr to the west with them blackened out with a black marker
The Bundesrepublik and the DDR had a "postal war." This stamp SC 930 got the same treatment in the DDR. It is a reissue of a 1955 stamp SC 733, "Family in flight," commemorating 20 years of displaced persons. The "Postkrieg" is a speciality topic with German stamps. Has anyone got a good source for DDR kiloware? I just got some off German ebay. It's all off paper and seems like alot of CTO (which is fine with me). I'd like to find some other sources as well.
