I've read through a number of "how to soak stamps" threads and nobody uses waxed paper. The process I was taught to use as a kid involved waxed paper so that's what I've been using recently with my renewed interest in stamp collecting. Is there any reason NOT to use waxed paper or do others just prefer their own method of soaking, drying and pressing?

I've been using waxed paper and paper towels also (I can hear the groans already) Was just wondering if this would leave any residue on the stamps that could be harmful? I can't really afford a drying book, so this is the option I came up with.

Peace,
Chad
