Thanks KGV I may list some on ebay dot com and some on delcampe. I am hoping to get $1000 or more a month from sales. The biggest thing now is I don't have enough listing time. I am still working for a few months more but then I am going to go at this full time. I think I need to stay off .au for listing, just use that for buying. Use .com for higher value stuff and split some lots with delcampe. I am stampman1969 on delcampe just joined it since puzzler told me the web site. I am trying to get time to list a bunch of USA FDC there. I got over 500 FDC to list and not time to list them:( Can anyone recommend what sort of stamps or fdc sell the best, what is a good buying price and sell price? I am trying to buy bulk and split everything up and sell each in small lots. Ok it is my birthday 2morrow and everybody has been visiting me today. So no time this weekend for my PC:( When is the next free listing day? I wish I can sell 50 lots! Well done KGV

For me to list different items after much practice takes about 3mins per listing and that is with everything prepared before hand. So long as I do not get hypnotized and loose concentration and end up in a white out. lol

To list 100 1d red KGVs separately with only an image and ID number change takes about 1.5 mins per listing. The scanning takes about the same time.

A $1,000 a week is a big ask if you can list only 250 lots per week and anything that is over $9.99 is slow. Items under $5 do well. Single high values or letter rate sets do well at 99c up to $4.99.

I have just won an Australian stamp for $950 all up outside Aussie. This stamp will sell for well over $2,000 in OZ but not on ebay even though it has a certificate. The best bricks and mortar auction will get this stamp if I sell it. So Australia sells well in OZ but not outside OZ. So USA sells in the USA etc.
As I list with .com the listing at no extra cost is on .com.au as well. 95% of sales come from OZ even though it is in a .com store.I only sell OZ stamps. I will not pay 10c for the listing to reach the UK because I am not selling UK stamps.
Less work and more profit is my aim now. I have an amount of funds saved over the last year and I am now looking for big ticket items outside OZ and not on ebay type auctions but I will never sell these items on ebay but only at bricks and mortar top selling auctions in OZ. But this type of selling still has to be proven that what I think is correct, is correct. And heaps more home work is needed before I will make a final decision.

Hope this helps. KGV.

Hi KGV I think once I quit work around May I can list 250 items at less than $5 each. I would also need an ongoing range of some items around $10, some around $20 and some high value ones.

Have the thought to buy those scare stamps on line and sell them in International real auction houses. I have some really good scarce stamps and maybe I want to sell them in real stamp auctions. Thought I would consider selling them in any country auction with a good audience, UK for example has a lot of collectors. This is such a site I would consider selling some better items

http://www.warwickandwarwick.com/pages/stamps.htm

Have a read they sold a penny black envelope for 3900 pounds. They had an inverted Jenny sold there last month, see the news on their web site. I feel one could make big bucks buying scarce items of ebay and sending them into such auction houses around the world. I am really thinking to send 10 scarce stamps of 20 thousand cat value there to Warwick and see what happens

BTW I am sure I can list that fast to but I have to many interruptions right now. Need to be at home a lone on the PC then I can fly through listings.
