Hey guys,

I've got 26 pages of US stamps, maybe one page of old stuff, most of it pretty recent. I only collect Canada, so I'm not familiar with anything US. Is there anything worth keeping in this "collection"?

If so, I guess it would be on the first page, or maybe in the last 2 or 3 pages with the airmails, special delivery and postage due.

Here's what I've got. Sorry for the long page

(Congrats, you got to the end )

I nominate this post to be the longest on SCF.

Pity there are no Australia.

Do I win something for the longest post? If not I'll try harder next time...or will I?

This post is so long if you broke it down Minesweeper you would have 500 posts.

But truly I hope some people answer your long and very attractive question.

Always Happy Stamping. KGV

Personally I think they are all worth keeping. You won't be retiring to the Bahamas if you sell them, but it's a very good start on a US collection.

Great start to a USA collection. The precancel on the first page is interesting (to me, anyways).

Well, yes. all are of minimal monetary value but together they are a wonderful start to a great U.S.A. collection so if I were you I may just hold on to them. ~Cheers.

Stamps #2 and #5 on the first stock sheet are exceptionally nice copies if they don't have hidden damage. And that very early Chicago precancel will arouse some interest, even though it has a pulled perf.

Just one revenue?

Alas, the Chicago precancel is a common one. I have a couple myself and asked an expert about them a couple of years ago.

Please do not start a competition for longest post! Some people have dial-up internet access and long posts of photos are painfully slow.

I shouldn't have been the one to make this request as I don't have this problem. But I have seen other posts from members asking for limiting the length of posts because lots of photos makes the computer lock-up and then time-out.

I believe multiple pictures are the problem, but not long text. Someone had suggested 2-3 pictures maximum per post would help.

Personally, I think a competition for longest post would be a waste of time and space on the server. But if other people want to do it, have fun. But please title it as such so the rest of us can skip it.

Kehess, this was not meant to be a post about the longest post possible. Just me wondering if there was anything good in a small quantity of US stamps that I have.

Also, the pictures are not hosted on the stamp community server, so they don't waste any space.

In regards to Minesweeper's original post, being that you have no desire to fill spaces in a US album, No there is nothing worth keeping.Give it to a kid.

Keep in mind that I don't spend a lot of time on U.S.

I'd only give it to a kid if the kid has already showed an interest in collecting. If you knew a Scout leader, for instance, they might know a kid who would be interested.

I bet there are some collectors here that could use a few of those. A donation auction might be an option.

All that being said, I probably wouldn't part with them. They don't take up much space, and you never know when a certain bug might bite.
