Keeping everyone up to date...

I'm in the Siegel Auction Catalog! I'm in the Siegel Auction Catalog! I'm somebody now!

Here is the link to all of the background to this, for those unfamiliar with how my Scott #554d story began and developed.

Wish me well...

Wow, a needle in a hay stack, maybe even a hay field. Treasures are still to be found. Very well done.

Do the first and second paragraphs of the Siegel description contradict each other? Perf. 10 at top or bottom?

Confused, Robert

BTW, Score big in the auction.

Despite the faults you couldn't ask for a better cancel, so the stamp presents well and they gave it a nice writeup. You should do very well; in four figures I expect.

Good luck.

I think yes, the way it is worded. But in the long run, on this particular stamp, I don't think it matters dollar-wise if it is perf 10 at bottom or top. I think it should probably read "perf 10 at top or bottom" rather than "at bottom".

You have made me curious. I will email the Siegel guy and ask him about this.

Were they referencing the error discovery from another stamp with perf 10 on bottom that was originally found? Then at the end of that, "New Discovery" my favorite part. Good hunt, excellent find. Gary

Trainwreck, Siegel said that it was an error in the all caps paragraph and that they would "put in an errata" (Whatever that means) and that they would make an announcement at the sale.

Thanks Robert, for bringing this to my attention.

I hope the description error doesn't deter any potential bidders.
