Buying/Selling @ Scf.....

OK...here goes....
I know rules are rules....
BUT....I would like to make a recommendation to Admin....

You have to have 100 post and be a member for 14 days to BUY or SELL...
correct???
Some people would ONLY like to buy....
Most (if not all) are members longer than 14 days but dont post to the
site....for whatever reasons???
You can tell by looking at the bottom of the pages to see who is online currently....there is ALWAYS plenty LURKERS!
Why penalize them and sellers (who have met the requiremants) who want to sell?

The items listed in AUCTIONS...get plenty, plenty more page views than ebay....but far less bids.
I do not mind selling material here but when the majority of viewers are ineligilbe to buy because of # of posts???

Its 50 quality posts and 14 days to buy. ...
100 quality posts and 60 days to sell.... I think buying would be good for anyone regardless of posts. But, since I've been a member I have witnessed 1 person who broke rules, then came back on as another name to try and get 100 posts as fast as they could to sell. Post a link then disappear.
I think the biggest difference is members such as yourself and many others here that sell but are always there for us when we need help. Anyhow, thanks to you and all the others who help us both ways. Respectfully, Gary

I agree.. I read almost every post daily,but rarely login,mostly because as a newby I don't have as much to contribute as the more knowledgable members. I would be very active in the auctions if possible and be happy to be a SCF supporter.

Buyers are in just as good a position to scam sellers as the other way around. Sorry the rule will not change.

Look here, the second the seller said the item was shipped, a chargeback was done.

Let me also say this... as much as I try to protect everyone and disclaim ALL responsibility either here or the coin forum, every time there's the slightest hiccup in a transaction I get a barrage of emails. I have one guy that starts emailing me 48 hours after he pays if the item hasn't arrived.

Thats the oldest scam in the book....

All shipments have to go to PayPal address....no exceptions!
The buyer has the right to receive what was paid for. If the seller does
not track/insure....it is his loss.

If the buyer uses a CC through Paypal and then does a chargeback through the CC, Paypal will NOT back the seller no matter what. It doesn't matter if you do everything perfect. Paypal will NOT eat it, the seller will.

I have over 20,000 feedback @ ebay....
Plus many more thousand tansactions where feedback was not left...
I think that is incorrect....but its your forum....

You can certainly think what you want but Paypal is not a charity, if they get charged back so will you.

I am a newbie and buyer only. I have found a couple of favorite sellers by looking in the " ebay SCF Member List", I wouldn't be interested in the auctions anyway as I only shop the "Buy it now" listings -- I hate to haggle.

Rules are rules - end of story

For a relative newcomer (joined Aug 2012) you seem to spend quite a bit of time focusing on "selling" issues

Selling is only a minor part of what this forum is about and thats the way it should stay

As they say if you dont like the rules ............
