As an older retiree stamps to me are not just a hobby, they also help to keep me alert and interested in different things. You younger folks would be surprised just how easy it is to lose interest in things. I make up my own album pages (I hate those empty slots in a store bought album) and I try to get one done every day, which is about an hour. It is more difficult to keep track of internet time related to stamps. Actually I don't really want to know how much time I spend on the I/N. But now having found this Stamp Forum my time will undoubtedly increase.....npfw70

As an unemployed I can spend almost 40 hours a week stamping but I rather be working full time 40 hours and instead be stamping half less. The hobby feels better when your not worrying. The good thing now is that i'm finally catching up in mounting stamps that I have accumulate in stockbooks. When I work and have money I spend time every evening of the week days on auction site and dealers site to shop and buy stamps. I don't know if SCF will change this habit when i'm back to work. It make me think of that old poem that wt1 post about that women who's got the stamp crave. I'm not to that extreme but for sure I have the CRAVE.

timbres,

What a great thread to resurrect !

I cannot vote again but I can say that I do spend even more time on the internet and even less time with my stamps than I did in January 2009.

Would like to see more replies from all those members who have joined us in the last two years !

Londonbus1....well come on then

I'm spending about 20-30 hours a weeks. I bought some old albums and have been going through them removing the stamps and mounting them in new albums.

I work on it when I can and lately that hasn't been as much as I would like. With the holidays here even the time that I may have for stamps is going to be fight to the death here...lol

Donna, you could paste stamps on the Christmas tree ornaments or make little ornaments of them. Hey, that's a great idea! I will start a new thread!

Puzzler, The good news, that was a great idea! Now I know how to incorporate my crafting with my stamp collections. Maybe ornaments with the U.S. Christmas stamps to start with?

The bad news. I now will be sorting through what I have to look for canceled Christmas stamps and letting what I have been organizing go until after the first of the year.

Well, music can be played in the background, but it's the games with the soap on a rope that make it a soap opera.
