Stamp Collecting is a Winter Hobby for me. We have a Fifth Wheel and Boat. We Camp, Boat and fish all summer. We will spend about 120 days from May- October at the Lake. I will spend a little time this summer looking on ebay for a Canadian Album. I will resume Stamps in November but hopefully I can find some Canadian Albums before summer ends. I'm still working on U.S. and have a long ways to go to be complete in them so like I said I'm in no hurry.

Wash,

Find a stamp club nearby. Meet the members, you don't have to join but its usually only $10.00 and see what the members use and recommend.

I'm ready to create my own binders and pages if I could find a listing of stamp sizes for Canada. I have all the stamp pictures (not 100%) and all the software, printers and paper at work as I am in the printing industry and also function as a pre-press graphics artist. So this is the easy part. Finding the stamp sizes has proved to be quite a quest.

I'm like TinMan though - this will be mostly a Fall/Winter hobby but like knowing it's there when I want to sit down to it.

Also a lot of time a good Harris liberty set is available on the used market...one of those " I had this collection when I was growing up and don't want it anymore" type of thing. The liberty is a good set as the newer supplements also include sheet, single, blocks, and had the gutter pages for the farley type issues etc... the mystic is excellent for the album as it has scott numbers and pictures of each. scott is good, if you want to fork out the cash, but it doesnt picture all stamps. I use both Harris and Mystic for mine. used/mint separation.
