I seem to recall a post somewhere about the "archival quality" of ink. We all think about paper, but sometimes we forget to think about ink.

For example, I'm sure you've seen, as I have, black ink faded to purple over time.

I don't have an answer, but it might be worth researching. Especially if you plan to use color.

Good point, Kirk... very good point.

I have album pages I printed out eight years ago, and they are fine.

I can say that from my technical background and experience that one should use the manufacurer's ink cartridges. Refilled cartridges and "no name" cartridges tend not to last for the long haul.

cgortha, I have tried to use the "trial' version of Albumgen and I cannot use it! It has a very steep learning curve, lol. It seems to be DOS based, is this correct?

I broke down... I just ordered the pages from 1847-2000 for the Canadian Wholesale Supply (CWS) United States Seal Album. I'll use the latter part of the album and sell the earlier part.
