You're a single minded bloke, Kirk.

I reckon the footnote should read,
"Appearing as a necklace or wedding ring near you"

..or his Mother's words,
"Bernard, why don't you get a real job?
you'll never get anywhere in life, collecting rocks"

What a nugget of gold! He could have owned Australia. I used to ride a dirt bike at Hill End. I should have used a metal detector instead!

That's a neat piece of Australiana from stamp to gold nugget. Thanks. Family & KGV.

Australian history paints the landing of the First Fleet at Sydney's Lane Cove "Tank Stream" as a great event but it was far from it! On the arrival of the First Fleet the male convicts had to construct the beginning of the First settlement in just 2 days. After this preparation the female convicts were brought ashore. A big party was held with lots of rum. The rest is not suitable for this forum. Not something to be proud of as an Aussie but it's the truth.

Yes KirkS the international post stamps are designed to make people outside aussie look to our country to be money spending tourists. Not a bad job either. Inter post stamps are hard to find used in aussie as 10% of the stamps value must be taken off for postage here. I am lucky as I have a friend overseas that gets a lot of mail from aussie and they are posted to us. A very good family friend. Family and KGV
