Bobgggg is correct...he has the ability to skin a dealer alive ..he showed me a DDR collection Saturday ..missing only a very few items..it had souvineer sheets I had never seen before...he must slip the dealer a drug to get it for what he paid !! I was going to go along with ending the thread but it just keeps on going..i paid too much for an item at a show 6 months ago..because I was frantic I had spent the day and had nothing to show for it..so I purchased a box of covers for $100..they may be worth half that...but I go along with the consensus...THINGS EVEN OUT IN THE LONG RUN

Philb......no worries. I have just come back from Independence Day celebrations. I bought a hamburger for 20 shekels.

It wasn't even worth ten.

Now I have to have some Passion Fruit sorbet to make up for it.

Londonbus1....off to the freezer.

My turn. Certainly, I pay too much at times.
But occasionally I make a sale where someone else pays too much ... to me.
For example, I sold a set of Guatemala revalued for $83 that only cost me about $5 (started the auction at $9.99). That sale helped level the field a bit.

Anyone looking to buy Guatemala stamps?

I may have just killed any hopes to sell Guatemala stamps here on SCF.

Marty
