To the dealer, stamps are an investment, and not only in money, but in time and energy, and advertising and promotion.

As LB1 says To a Dealer any stamp is an investment.

Was that a unique thought? And one that couldn't be expanded upon?

Guess in the end, it's about customer service, and shopping, (and selling) where one feels "right" and I haven't gotten there yet.

Keep at it Barb, you'll get there.
My first foray on ebay has just ended, not a bad effort but loads unsold.
No worries though, there's always another time.
And I had one or two nice surprises as well.

Just keep at it and above all, Keep collecting. Because if you sell everything you'll be as miserable as those stuck-down stamps you once had !

Like that home run you hit with the Malta fading-one variety?

I can't believe you still had it! I nearly bought it on StampOffers numerous times, and then it dropped off your listings, so I figured it was gone. I should have asked.

My bid was passed like it was standing still.

Good for you, bad for me.
