I don't know how SG assigns individual catalog numbers to single stamps from the miniature sheets, so I just gave you the MS#### catalog numbers. |

Yes, not a patch on the original, would be close to be the first stamp in the world with a dog on it.

Quote: the original...would be close to be the first stamp in the world with a dog on it Come on...could that be true? I'm going to have to go in search of a Bahamas stamp with a pineapple, a conch shell and a poodle... (I'm not serious about the poodle, but I am serious about finding an earlier dog...) |

1898? I doubt it. It was mainly kings, queens, coat of arms posthorns and horses. As usual 22crows will pop up with something. |

I have 432 dogs on stamps in my collection, according to that list, dogs did not appear to be a topical until around 1956, with Laika etc and the dogs that went into space. I cannot see any paw prints on any stamps prior to that, I have an 1885 issue, but I cannot vouch for its validity |

You are amazing! I don't have the stamp, but the pesky critter is on the header page (and 1880! a new low date) Hindsight would suggest Newfoundland a great initial search area. |

3373 ($3 Mars Pathfinder)
4091 (1c Tiffany lamp)[2007; 2008] 4092 (2c Navajo jewelry)[2004; 2004 reprint with brighter deep turqoise blue frame; 2006 no USPS microprinting; 2006 with USPS microprinting; 2007] 4093 (4c Chippendale chair)
I've mentioned the different varieties of the sheet stamps for the American Design Series. I don't think the varieties are listed in SOTW. All 3 of those stamps also exist as coils. |

Oh yeah, I forgot...
The 25c hologram is a stamped envelope issued in 1990. Does SOTW list stamped envelopes? |

Thanks KHJ we have a problem, my numbers are well out. edit: looking at the missing numbers around 4091 I'll give them temporary numbers and go to the library tomorrow cheers Thanks for the hologram, no SOTW does not but the year is OK for moi. 3373 fits well for the mars pathfinder, not listed though in SOTW Here is our problem: |

Quote: 3373 fits well for the mars pathfinder, not listed though in SOTW I may have made a typo? I will check again later. What year is your SOTW? Even Scott has had to renumber the American Design Series because of all the incessant varieties. |
