According to my information, Baldwin engraved this set for El Salvador in 1894 when he had his own company. It was printed by the Hamilton Bank Note Company so he must have done it under contract to them.

Yes, Baldwin engraved that stamp and also the 10p. (Sc#103) from the same series :
Costa Rica - 1923 - Sc# 122 Columbus soliciting aid of Isabella Printed by American Bank Note Co.
This portrait of Beethoven is very likely the work of Marcus Baldwin; it bears the imprint of Baldwin & Gleason and two dates, 1883 and 1886. The probable explanation is that Baldwin completed it on his own in 1883, and it was added to the B&G stock three years later.
