I've had a worn out back of book stamp collection utilizing the Harris pages since I was 12 years old. I'd like to upgrade and setup a complete US Back of Book binder but want to know what is the most complete set of pages to build my binder around? I'm looking for suggestions and links if you have them. Much appreciated.

Check out the free AlbumEasy album downloads at https://www.thestampweb.com/albums/free-downloads

Scroll down to the bottom to United States. There are several BOB, airmail, etc. choices available as pdf files or the full AE text files. You'll need the free AE software to use or modify the text files .

Thank you uBoatnut - I'll take a look. I want to see what my options are before I jump in and start the migration to a new more polished book/feel.

I checked out the files - is there a file for Standard revenue stamps?

And if you decide to go hingeless, Palo is the most complete option out there:

https://paloalbums.com/collections/...414483079399

Pages shown are in color, but candidly I loathe full-color album pages, as it's impossible to tell at-a-glance which spots are filled. Luckily, they will provide the hingeless pages in black & white at the same cost, just about a week longer than normal turnaround.

Palo albums have the stamps in Scott catalogue listing order, although they do not print the numbers on the pages due to royalty restrictions.

While certainly not the cheapest option, I find Palo very flexible to work with. For example, if I want a duplicate set of hingeless pages just for pages 17-19 because I'm collecting color varieties, plate varieties, cancels, or both mint and used for a particular set, I can order just the pages I want duplicates of. I'm not limited to only buying complete page sets. The per-page cost is just a buck or two more per page than buying the sets, so not unreasonable IMO.

Much appreciate the additional resource. I also don't like the color filled in pages. I found something similar for the world stamps and it was helpful for when I was creating a stand alone Germany album but I elected to print the files in B&W for the same reasons. I just printed the pages on acid free paper and the collection came out very pristine and one now I enjoy.

Agreed!

I ordered the B&W Palo revenue pages and love them.

There are a few issues I would like to see get fixed, mostly the box sizes are wrong on some issues (too large on a few and too small for the remainder). There are a few issues included with sets as black and red overprints although the red overprints are not known. Would like to see them deleted.

I too have ordered multiple copies of the same pages over time (mint, used, etc.). Additionally, I add two hole punches to the white Scott Advantage stock pages for special items or to include a cert or write-up with the stamp on a single page. Quick and easy, even if the Scott pages are slightly smaller.

After several years of using them, I would do it again.

I really like the clear hingeless mounts - so convenient once you get to the point you can afford to splurge on nice pages and have more than a few of the stamps. Once you start hingless, you most likely will not go back for your more advanced collections. Nothing wrong with hinges or stock pages as you start out, but once you get most of something, it is nice to have hingeless pages!

Since I collect the plate varieties of the officials as well as the regular stamps and specimens, "complete" isn't really a thing.
So I make my own pages.

I've been making my own pages since 2009. I collect color, tagging, & printing varieties, booklet panes, and a few different revenue series. I prefer to collect what I want rather than what an album publisher decides I should collect.
