Besides his evasive content noted previously, Mark Banchik's "Response and Action Plan" news release is disingenuous in another respect. Banchik himself was a member of the Boston jury. Any member of the jury could have protested the scoring team's recommendation and could have demanded a full jury vote. [Emphasis added by PPG] He should not be the person to appoint a so-called boldface italic "independent" committee to investigate and report on the jury's misfeasance or malfeasance; he should not be the person to whom the committee reports; and he should not be the person who releases the report to the full APS membership.

Added: Under the APS whistleblower policy, the executive director, not the president, conducts the investigation.
