Hi, I'm mainly a coin collector collecting coins for many years. I have an old stamp book from when I was a kid and sometimes by coins with stamp covers.
I record my coins on Numista and wondered if there was a similar catalogue for stamps? I thought I'd better record them

Just list them in Word or Excel. If you actually mean a stamp catalogue, Gibbons remains the standard.

It's not easy to advise you without knowing more about the kind of stamps you've got. Please tell us more!

Welcome. There are several sites like Numista for stamps. Some are better than others. With stamps, however, many varieties exist. Almost all of the sites suffer from the problem that the geographic focus tends to show. Consequently, they may follow a catalogue that may not be very relevant for your geography.

Also, because so many varieties exist there is a risk the input by members is garbage and the catalogue managers may be utterly incompetent.

If your stamps, primarily, are GB or Commonwealth, I agree with GeoffHa that Stanley Gibbons is the most relevant catalogue for you. There are few online catalogues that mention SG catalogue numbers without making an utter mess of it. Stanley Gibbons had a free online catalogue, but they have been champions at making themselves look like complete clowns.
