Say more about what changed? Not sure what answer you're looking for. By most accounts (judging aside) it was a successful show. People showed up, saw some amazing philatelic items, met friends old and new, made some purchases. Dealers generally reported robust sales.

worth the millions of dollars spend

That is quite doubtful.

However, unless bankruptcy is declared, every show is a success. If the attending dealers were happy really does not matter considering how many dealers chose to sit this international out.

It would be interesting to see how much the USPS made at the show.

Edit; Also how many and at what prices the 5 available C3a examples were sold.

As I recall, the prices ranged from about 250K to about 600K depending on condition. I do not know whether any sold. They had a handful of baseball card which were even more expensive than that; a contemporary Lou Gehrig card was priced at $1.1M.

SO WHERE ARE WE ?????------------------The only thing we seen a month after the biggest stamp show in the world is the tail end of a JUDGING DEBACLE .

What did you expect? It was another international show that happens most years right?

It was not a renaissance of stamp collecting or organized philately if someone was expecting that.

For those that attended, I am sure most got something out of it but does not benefit many beyond it.

Why is the expectation that organized philately needs to recruit collectors who will buy from dealers. The dealers need to do more to recruit collectors and just not customers.

"Why is the expectation that organized philately needs to recruit collectors who will buy from dealers."

In large part because stamps are not used by everyday people the way they once were. The idea of simply having everyone you know save any stamps and give them to you are long gone. It was great 60 years ago, but......

Yes they are. Present-day people do not stick them on their bumpers instead of on envelopes and postcards.
Could it be that you intended to point out "stamps are not much used by everyday people, period?"

Obviously you knew exactly what I was saying. Really no need to be pedantic.
