Australien State Victoria 3 Cent Blue 1850

I have this 3 cent stamp from Victoria, but I don`t know what print it is, and is There a variant in the word pence, the C has become a O.

I don't know very much about these stamps, but the PENOE error will enable the stamp to be plated.

These are called half lengths, and are very popular.

Hi have a 3p Victoria stamp as well. This was in some kiloware I ordered last month. I played with color etc on the photo to get it to look as much as possible like what my eyes see. The original picture was way too light and dim.

If you look at the back, the stamp is nearly torn in 2, and reconnected with a stamp hinge. I am having trouble reading the writing but it could be a gift from one person to another. Hoping someone can shed some light. What is the quality grade for torn in half then put back together?

Could be. There was a Madden family that was in Victoria's government in the late 1800s, and there were a few daughters. I cannot tell if that is doodling or symbols below the words, and they are faded. Tried to increase the contrast and brightness, but it didn't help.

I researched it further than I thought I could, tbh, without a catalog or any paper resource on the country. The tear makes it poor condition, most likely worth from $5-20. To me, it is like a old car with low miles- worth more than the blue book price. This is a decent example of early stamp history; the oldest stamp I have as well! Can only hope to be as lucky with other stamps in the kiloware!
