The Lourdes apparitions are several Marian apparitions, reported supernatural appearance of the Virgin Mary, reported in 1858 by Bernadette Soubirous, the 14-year-old daughter of a miller, in the town of Lourdes in Southern France.
Bernadette Soubirous and an herd of sheep, designed and engraved by Pierre Gandon and issued by Monaco on May 15, 1958 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Marian Apparition in Lourdes reported by Bernadette.
