Difference Between 6096A And 6096B ?

Silly question from an old retired guy, but how do I distinguish my copy 6096a ( binding stub left ) from my copy of 6096b (binding stub right) ?

I see it's a large booklet , so it's related to what paintings are on the reverse I assume , or perhaps evidence of what side of the pane has signs of separation?

I believe 6096a refers to one 10 stamp pane, while 6096b refers to the entire booklet.

Moonwalker is correct that the two panes can be distinguished by the paintings on the reverse. The one with the binding stub on the right has the painting The Declaration of Independence on the reverse while the one with the binding stub on the right has The Battle of Bunker Hill on the reverse. (There is a list of the paintings and images used in the booklet on the inside back cover.)

But there is some confusion as to the catalog numbers, which were listed in the July 2026 issue of Scott Stamp Monthly. In the "front of the book" listings, 6096a says binding stub at left and 6096b has the binding stub at the right. But if you look further down in the booklet section, they are reversed.

The catalog number for the complete booklet is BK309.

Note to OP: For those of us who don't have the Scott catalog memorized, it would be helpful to name the subject stamp along with the catalog numbers.
