August 4
1962 - North Brookfield, Mass. to Worcester, Mass.

A
special delivery letter that arrived the following day. The towns are 35 miles apart.
1944 - Georgetown, Cayman Islands to Willemstad, Curacao.

This letter took 61 days to reach its destination.
This
registered letter was posted on August 4 in Georgetown. The slug for August (AU) is inverted.
It passed through Kingston, Jamaica but we cannot see a date. It then passed through Panama on September 29. I can detect a receiving mark of 4 October inside the Willemstad postmark. ImageSleuth confirmed what I thought I saw.
This was wartime and another possible delay could have been tropical storms, as it was hurricane season.
