Szía and hello!

I'm a volunteer writer (and future grad student) for the Hungarian Philately Society; I'm looking for people to interview about their knowledge and share images of their collections. Share your passion with our membership. Pre philately, early franking techniques and the alternative Jewish Postal system are also of interest. Pass this on to someone you know. Thank you!

Minden jot!

Hello,

What do you mean "Jewish Postal System"? Do you mean the system during the Holocaust?

About Hungarian philately and Judaic focus: I have a collection of items from Hungary about Esperanto. It has about 20 items, mainly commemorative postmarks and PC's. I can send scans of them.

Welcome ---VanBlueMore , I am puzzled by what you want and trying to tie what your asking for and what I know about some of the subjects your asking about .
We have people here who collect and can show Hungary postal material . Then are you asking about Jewish postal material in Europe ? Or are you asking about Jewish material in the Holyland pre-independance .

Thank you both for answering. I did a bit of research and I think the AI led me astray a bit. Im not sure if this is truly "philately" Have you heard of this?

Kashariyot (#1511;#1513;#1512;#1497;#1493;#1514;): This is the official Hebrew term for the underground Zionist couriers. It translates directly to "links" or "connectors". Philatelists and historians use this specific term to describe the young women and men who hand-carried messages between the isolated ghettos.

Im a new member so I am not able to access your contact information and the moderators have taken my information off the post. If there is a way to learn more about this type of collecting, I would be quite interested, LaoPhil.

Since you cannot email members directly (until you have 50 quality posts), the only way I could recommend is that you just continue posting questions and getting answers on your thread. Perhaps start another thread with something else that is slightly unrelated to the first.

So, keep on posting and you'll get to 50 posts before you know it.
