I believe that in 1920 there were 3 headlamps on the train stamps, and only 1 headlamp on the redrawn set of 1920-1921, Scott Q117-131. Could someone kindly post where the 3 headlamps were since the cancellations on my stamps make seeing things challenging?

One headlight on the smokebox door, and two smaller lamps above the buffer beam. The smaller lamps are removable- in UK use they act as a code, e.g.one lamp for goods train, two lamps for express train- so I suppose the same for the SNCB.

Didn't notice anything about 3 headlamps on the 1920 set in the Stanley Gibbons specialised Belgian catalogue, but I haven't got my copy with me.

As far as I can see, the lantern at the top of the front end of the boiler has disappeared in the redrawn design. The two lights at the front of the frame remain.

Oops- was looking at the wrong set. I've seen some bad drawings of steam locos, but that one really takes the biscuit! Probably a Dunalastair class loco.

Aren't the value "tablets" an easier clue? They're very different between the two issues.
