Selling Scott Albums; Fill Them Or Leave Them Blank?

I have an empty black Scott stamp album from the 1950s I would like to sell. I have found 50 unaffixed stamps I wish to include with the sale. Should I sell the album as is, or try to find around 500 stamps to affix in the album to make it more attractive?

I'd sell the album as empty and show a picture of the loose stamps on the ebay listing. No point in messing about adding a relatively small number of probably common stamps.

Yes, if it's already empty, I'd keep it that way. Someone might be specifically looking for an empty one.

Just to add my $0.02 - I would prefer to purchase a completely blank album, then with 50 or so (as mentioned) likely common stamps. Place those loose stamps in a glassine envelope and include with the sale makes the best sense.

I would definitely be interested in seeing what the empty album looks like and its overall condition.

I have an empty Scott International part 1, from 1969.. I received in an auction lot. It is empty except for a maybe a hundred hinge remnants, and a few dozen remaining stamps. Found someone interested; then I had to withdraw from any deal, because TWO PAGES were missing- the first two pages of China listings. So, NOW what do I do with it? The pages, other than the few hinge remnants, are in excellent condition..nice, smooth edges, great shape,. I cannot bring myself to trash it...Shucks...

I think about half the Scott Internationals I got off ebay back in the day were missing some pages somewhere. Sometimes disclosed, and sometimes I didn't find out until much later! Disclose what you can and if you have a couple blank pages include them.

I still have it listed on ebay. I didn't have luck at my stamp meeting auction, so I wlll try at the Stamparama stamp show next month.

The amount of time it takes to add 500 stamps to an album is not worth the extra money you might get out of it.
